This tool uses square pixel blocks rather than a soft blur filter. It does not detect faces automatically: you choose which faces to pixelate and how much of each face to cover.

Blur face in picture: choose a block size that hides detail

Small blocks create a stylized effect but may leave eyes, facial shape, or other features recognizable. Increase the pixel size until those details are no longer clear at the size people will view the photo.

Check every selected face before exporting. If the image may be enlarged later, inspect the downloaded version at full size as well as in the smaller social-media preview.

Pixelate one face or multiple faces in a photo

Selected-area editing keeps the setting, clothing, and unselected people sharp. Add separate selections when faces are far apart instead of covering the space between them.
