1. Open your image

Go to the editor and select a JPG, PNG, or WebP file. You can also drag a supported file into the upload area or paste an image from your clipboard. Files can be up to 10 MB. Very large images are resized so their longest side is no more than 8,192 pixels.

Image processing happens in your browser, and the photo is not uploaded to an editing server. You do not need an account to edit or download.

2. Choose what to pixelate

Use Entire Image for an all-over mosaic or retro photo effect. Use Selected Areas when you want to keep most of the image clear and pixelate only specific parts.

  1. In Selected Areas, choose Rectangle and drag over the region you want to cover.
  2. Choose Brush for areas that need a less rectangular shape. Adjust the brush size, then paint over the image.
  3. Add more areas as needed. Check their edges carefully so small details are not left exposed.

3. Adjust the effect and review

Use Pixel Size to change the size of the mosaic blocks. Brush size changes how much area you paint at once; pixel size changes the appearance inside the painted area.

Undo and Redo help you revise edits. Reset lets you start the edit again, and Replace image opens another photo. Use the comparison control, zoom controls, and Fit to screen to review your work before downloading.

4. Choose a format and download

Select PNG, JPG, or WebP in the Format menu. PNG is a good choice for screenshots and sharp block edges. JPG and WebP offer a Quality slider when you want to adjust compression.

Click Download Pixelated Image and check the saved file before sharing it. Keep your original separately if you may want to make a different version later. The downloaded image has no watermark.
